AnyDoc Online Review: An In-Depth Overview

AnyDoc Online is an online document-to-Markdown converter built for people who need to turn mixed file collections into reusable, AI-ready text.

Instead of using a different converter for every format, AnyDoc provides one workflow for documents, presentations, spreadsheets, PDFs, web and data files, notebooks, ebooks, archives, and images. It currently accepts DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, XLS, HTML, CSV, JSON, XML, IPYNB, PDF, EPUB, ZIP, PNG, JPG, JPEG, and WEBP files.

AnyDoc uses a conversion path suited to each input format and aims to retain useful source structure, including headings, paragraphs, lists, links, emphasis, code, and readable tables. Supported image files are processed with OCR, while Automatic OCR can recognize scanned or image-only PDF pages that do not contain dependable embedded text.

Users can add a single file or queue multiple file types together, review each generated Markdown result in the browser, download files individually, or package completed results into a ZIP. The output is designed for documentation, content migration, research, publishing, search indexing, knowledge bases, RAG pipelines, and other AI workflows.

Files selected from a user's device are processed locally in the browser. When a public file URL is used, AnyDoc fetches the remote file from that URL and may use a server fallback when browser cross-origin rules prevent a direct fetch.
