Clearframe - Free remove.bg alternative: HD cutouts, no sign-up

Clearframe is a free AI background remover for people who just need a clean cutout — no account, no credits, no watermark. Upload a JPG, PNG or WEBP (up to 10 MB) and download a transparent PNG or WebP at your photo's original resolution, up to 25 megapixels, with no forced 2048-pixel downscale.

Need many cutouts? Drop up to 20 images at once. Clearframe processes them one after another and packs every result into a single ZIP. Pick transparent, white, a brand color or your own background image once and it applies to the whole batch — handy for product catalogs and team headshots.

Under the hood it runs BiRefNet_lite, an MIT-licensed segmentation model, directly in your browser via WebGPU or WebAssembly when your device supports it. When it can't, a clearly labeled server fallback processes the image over HTTPS and deletes it afterwards — the interface always tells you which path ran.

With remove.bg's standalone site closing on 1 December 2026 (per remove.bg's FAQ), Clearframe is an independent, no-account option for quick cutouts. It is honest about limits: no API, no Photoshop plugin, no manual brush, and glass, smoke or low-contrast subjects are harder. Available in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian.
