Most companies only hear from their employees once or twice a year through surveys. The problem is that by the time the results are collected, reviewed and shared, the situation may have already changed. An employee who was struggling a few months ago may already be looking for another job, while the issue that caused the problem is still waiting to be addressed.
Ethos One is an AI-powered employee feedback and engagement platform designed to shorten the time between spotting a problem and actually doing something about it. Instead of relying on large annual surveys, it uses short and regular employee check-ins, AI-powered insights and clear follow-up actions.
The platform is built around three main areas: Pulse, Insight and Accountability.
Pulse
Pulse uses quick employee check-ins that take around 10 seconds to complete. The questions can adapt based on the employee's role, team and timing.
The idea is to collect smaller amounts of feedback more regularly instead of asking employees to complete a long survey every few months. This gives companies a more current picture of what is happening across their teams and allows employees to share feedback while an issue is still fresh.
Insight
Collecting feedback is only useful when someone can understand what it means. Ethos AI looks at the responses and identifies patterns and changes over time.
It can help leaders spot signs of team friction, possible burnout and disengagement before these issues become more serious. Instead of giving managers large amounts of raw survey data to work through, the platform highlights what is changing, where the issue appears to have started and why it may matter.
It also recommends a possible next step, giving managers something practical to work with rather than simply presenting another report.
Accountability
Ethos One also focuses on what happens after an issue has been identified.
Insights can be turned into actions with a person responsible for them and a target date. Future employee pulses can then help show whether the action actually made a difference.
This creates a feedback loop where employees can see that their responses are leading to action. For companies, it also makes it easier to keep track of issues instead of allowing them to disappear after a survey or meeting.
Managing Employee Transitions
Ethos One also includes tools for important moments when an employee's role or relationship with the company changes.
Its Transition Portal is designed for new employees, promotions, team changes and employees leaving the business. It provides a clearer view of what should happen before, during and after each transition.
The portal includes the Offer Room, Starter Pack, Promotion Pack, Role Change Pack, Exit Pack and Check-Out Tray. These tools help companies organize different stages of the employee journey and give employees a better idea of what to expect.
This can become especially useful as a company grows. In a team of 15 people, it may be relatively easy to know how everyone is doing. Once a company grows to 60, 150 or 400 employees, small problems can be much harder to notice.
Ethos One is designed to help leaders understand how teams are working together, how employees experience leadership and whether the tools and processes around them are working properly.
Privacy and Employee Data
Privacy is an important part of how Ethos One handles employee feedback.
Employees can see their own data, while managers see aggregated information about their teams rather than individual responses. HR teams receive a risk queue instead of a list of employee names.
Responses are anonymous by default, and employees have control over what information gets shared. Data is encrypted both while being transferred and while stored.
Ethos One is also built with UK GDPR requirements in mind, and a Data Processing Agreement is available for companies that require one.
Integrations
Ethos One is designed to work alongside tools companies may already be using rather than requiring them to replace their existing HR and communication systems.
Listed connections include Workday, BambooHR, HiBob, Deel, Rippling, ADP, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Workspace, Google Calendar, Lattice, Salesforce and Dialpad.
These connections can help make employee feedback and follow-up actions part of existing workflows instead of creating another completely separate system for teams to manage.
Pricing
Ethos One includes its main features from $4 per employee per month. Companies choosing annual billing can pay $3.20 per employee per month.
There are no separate modules that need to be unlocked, no implementation fee and no minimum spend.
Enterprise plans are also available for larger organizations and include additional services such as dedicated onboarding, custom integrations, SSO and API access.
The Story Behind Ethos One
Ethos One was started by Josh Odigie and Pardeep Chera in 2023.
The two founders began building the platform alongside their full-time jobs and family responsibilities, using their own money rather than outside investment.
The original idea came partly from Josh's experience at a previous employer. He saw a difference between the company values being presented and what employees were actually experiencing day to day.
That experience helped shape the idea behind Ethos One: companies should not have to wait months for a survey to tell them that something is wrong.
By combining regular employee check-ins with AI analysis and clear follow-up actions, Ethos One aims to help companies understand problems earlier and make sure someone is responsible for addressing them.
