What is OpenEntity?
OpenEntity is a company formation service built for non-resident entrepreneurs who want to start a business in the US or UK without travelling there. It is particularly aimed at international founders, including entrepreneurs based across the GCC such as the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman.
The service can help set up a US LLC or UK LTD remotely. For a US LLC, the package starts at $499 and includes company formation, an EIN, a registered agent for the first year, a US business address, an operating agreement, and a banking introduction. OpenEntity also offers UK LTD formation for founders who prefer a UK company structure.
Unlike fully automated filing services, OpenEntity says every application is manually reviewed by its team before submission. This can be useful for international founders who are unfamiliar with US or UK company requirements.
How Does OpenEntity Work?
The process starts with a short online application where the founder provides information about the business and company setup.
OpenEntity then prepares and files the required documents. For US LLCs, this includes setting up the registered agent, preparing the operating agreement, and applying for the EIN. Company filing is normally handled within 24–48 hours, although the complete process can take longer depending on government processing and banking.
Once the company documents are ready, OpenEntity can introduce the founder to business banking providers such as Mercury, Wise, or Relay. Banking approval is still decided by the individual provider, so an introduction does not guarantee that an account will be opened.
Case Studies
OpenEntity can be useful in several common situations. A UAE-based consultant working with international customers, for example, may use the service to create a US LLC and gain access to US business payment options.
A Saudi or Qatari SaaS founder selling mainly to American customers could also choose a US LLC, while a consultant or agency focused on European clients may prefer a UK LTD.
Another common use case is an online entrepreneur who wants a foreign company but does not want to travel, deal directly with several government offices, or manage the formation process alone. In these cases, OpenEntity acts as a single point of contact for formation, documents, and the initial banking setup.
