What is Profit Bid?
Profit Bid is a cloud-based advertising optimization platform built for ecommerce businesses and marketing agencies. Its main goal is to help users improve real profit from paid advertising, rather than focusing only on revenue or return on ad spend.
Many stores use ROAS to measure campaign performance, but this can be misleading. A campaign may generate strong sales while still producing weak profit because of product costs, shipping fees, payment charges, discounts, or VAT. Profit Bid focuses on POAS, which stands for Profit on Ad Spend. This measures the gross profit generated by ads compared with the amount spent on advertising.
The platform connects ecommerce stores such as Shopify, WooCommerce, PrestaShop, Shopware, and OpenCart with advertising channels including Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, Microsoft Ads, Pinterest, and Amazon Ads.
Profit Bid calculates profit at the order level. It can include the cost of goods sold, shipping expenses, payment fees, and VAT. It then sends profit-based conversion values back to the ad platforms, helping their bidding systems optimize for profitable sales instead of high-value orders alone. When an order is cancelled or refunded, Profit Bid can automatically remove the related conversion value.
Another useful feature is its A/C/X product labelling system. Products are grouped by performance so strong products can receive more budget, average products can be improved, and poor performers can be excluded from campaigns.
Users can also create automated bidding and budget rules, set up Google Shopping and Performance Max campaigns, and receive daily recommendations from the platform’s AI assistant, Proby. These suggestions can be reviewed manually or applied automatically.
Profit Bid is suited to ecommerce merchants that want clearer profit data and agencies managing advertising for several stores. Plans start at $14.99 per month, and a 14-day free trial is available.
