What is it?
Tapetide is an AI-first stock research platform built for Indian equities. Instead of clicking through a dozen screens, you ask TapeAi, its research assistant, in plain English (for example: "compare HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank on ROE and valuation") and it pulls the numbers, reads the filings and lays out the answer with charts and tables. It covers all 8,000+ stocks listed on NSE and BSE.
How it works
TapeAi turns your question into calls to Tapetide's research tools, gathers the financials, ratios, technicals, market flows and filings it needs, and answers with tables and charts you can check. The same tools are available through the Tapetide MCP server, so the AI assistant you already use can work with Indian market data directly.

Developer options and API
The Tapetide MCP server is one remote URL with 55 tools: search, quotes, company, financials, ratios, shareholding, technicals, screener, FII/DII, options and IV, filings, IPOs, indices, portfolio and watchlist. Sign in with Google or use a personal API token; there is nothing to install. Local stdio packages are also available (npx -y tapetide-mcp or uvx tapetide-mcp), and the client packages are MIT-licensed on GitHub.
Integrations and compatibility
Works with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Codex, Gemini CLI, Grok and other MCP clients. The Tapetide platform is web-based and runs in any modern browser on desktop or mobile.
Pricing
Free plan forever: 50 MCP tool calls a day, the screener and FII/DII data, no card required. Paid plans start at ₹299/month (Starter, billed yearly) with a 7-day free trial; Pro and Pro+ raise the limits, and Enterprise is custom.
